Plot:

Set in a picturesque pre-revolutionary Georgian village populated by colorful dreamers and eccentrics, the story revolves around the tragic romance between the beautiful Marita and a poor young man, Gedia. Bound by rigid and cruel traditions, the village elders tear the lovers apart and force Marita into an arranged marriage with a wealthy man, setting the stage for a devastating climax.
